Gala Planning for March 2017 is Underway!
2016 Honored Cancer Survivors at the February Gala
Gala planning is in full swing and we need your help! We have assembled our committees, found a new location to accommodate our growing attendance, and set the date! Mark Saturday, March 4th, 2017 on your calendar now!
The gala will be held at St. Michael’s Woodside in Broadview Heights, just 2 minutes from I-77, 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland. We are looking to max out the space with 350 attendees! Please consider inviting friends, family and co-workers to join you at a table at this fun, inspirational event!
We will again honor 9-10 local cancer survivors at our gala as we raise funds and awareness of the mission of Ears To You. Do you know of someone who is a cancer survivor, out of any active cancer treatment, that you would like to nominate? Please email me at earstoyou2009@gmail.com and tell me all about this person! We honor cancer survivors of all ages (kids to adults), who had any type of cancer.
Our honored survivors will be treated to some fun pampering, will share their story on camera for a video to be shown at the gala, and be given an opportunity to invite family and friends to the gala to thank them for their support. It has been so rewarding to honor cancer survivors at our last 3 annual galas and we look forward to another inspiring year!
Ears To You was founded in 2008 by cancer survivor Ruth Crane while she was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. She realized that a great pair of earrings could not only cheer her up, but make her feel more “normal” and beautiful as she dealt with the hair loss that often accompanies cancer treatments. To date, over 15,000 pairs of earrings and now hats and scarves have been donated to cancer patients of all ages, with any type of cancer!
Along with attending the gala, we are always looking for donations for our silent and live auctions. Do you have a great landscaper? Hair stylist? Florist? Skincare line? Have access to Cavs/Indians tickets? We would appreciate any donations! It is always great to have a variety to meet the interests of our guests.
