Kitty Russ is an accomplished healthcare leader with more than 25+ years of nursing leadership and a career dedicated to improving the health, safety, and well-being of women, children, and families. She currently serves as Nurse Manager of Labor & Delivery and OB Triage at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, where she provides leadership for one of Ohio’s largest and most complex maternity programs.
Throughout her career, Kitty has been a passionate advocate for patients and families, with particular expertise in patient safety, quality improvement, maternal and infant health, health equity, and high-reliability healthcare. Her work extends beyond the hospital through longstanding participation in local, state, and national initiatives focused on maternal, fetal, infant, and child health and mortality prevention.
Kitty holds master’s degrees in Nursing and Healthcare Administration and is a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice. She has received numerous recognitions for nursing leadership, patient safety, teamwork, and high-reliability initiatives.
Community service has always been a passion and an important role for Kitty. In addition to serving on the Board of Ears to You, she has supported organizations and initiatives including the March of Dimes, American Heart Association, YWCA Women’s Leadership Initiative, and Girl Scouts of America.
Kittt is especially proud to serve Ears to You and support its mission of bringing comfort, confidence, encouragement, and a little bit of joy to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. She believes that small acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact during some of life’s most difficult moments and is honored to help further the organization’s mission in the community.
